For the base:
- 5 pears
- 3 tablespoons oil
- 1 packet baking powder
- 100g granulated sugar
- Pinch of salt
- 150g plain flour
- 3 eggs
- 100ml milk
- 1 packet cinnamon sugar

- 1 egg
- 200g quark cheese
- 2 packets vanilla sugar
- 50g butter
Instructions:
- Prep work: Preheat your oven to 180°C (350°F) and grease a cake tin. Peel and slice the pears.
- Make the batter: Beat the eggs and sugar until fluffy. Gradually fold in the flour, baking powder, milk, and oil.
- Assemble the cake: Pour the batter into the prepared tin and arrange the pear slices on top. Sprinkle with cinnamon sugar.
- Bake: Bake for 30 minutes.
- Optional topping: While the cake cools, mix the quark, butter, egg, and vanilla sugar. Spread this mixture over the cooled cake and bake for an additional 15 minutes.
